Jordan Ballantine
3 Stripe Brown Belt
Jordan Ballantine has dedicated years to the study and practice of martial arts, traveling and training in places like Vietnam and Texas to broaden his experience. Since 2014, his primary focus has been Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), where he has trained under many skilled coaches, including Bruno Carvalho, refining his technique and deepening his understanding of the art.
Jordan’s passion for Jiu-Jitsu began after watching elite fighters like Nick Diaz and Takanori Gomi, whose innovative techniques—including the gogoplata—left a lasting impression. Inspired by their skill, he fell in love with Jiu-Jitsu for its combination of strategy, technical precision, and real-world effectiveness. He has applied what he’s learned in self-defense situations and believes that Jiu-Jitsu is one of the safest martial arts to practice, while also being highly effective at stopping attackers.
For Jordan, Jiu-Jitsu is more than just physical technique—it’s a path to personal growth. He emphasizes humility, patience, and resilience, teaching students that every roll, every challenge, is an opportunity to learn and improve. His approachable style ensures that beginners and experienced students alike feel supported, encouraged, and challenged in a safe, family-oriented environment.
Jordan also values the sense of community that Jiu-Jitsu fosters. For him, the academy is a place to build friendships, celebrate progress, and grow not just as martial artists, but as individuals. His dedication to teaching, combined with years of experience and a love for the art, makes Jordan a passionate mentor who inspires confidence, skill, and character in every student he trains.
